As part of its commitment to sustainable and inclusive communities, FPT University provides permanent, free public access to the outdoor open and green spaces of all its campuses: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho and Quy Nhon. Local residents, families, school students and visitors are welcome to enter the campus grounds every day, free of charge and without prior registration.

1. A university-wide policy
Public access to campus grounds is a formal policy of FPT University as an institution, not an initiative of any single faculty or unit. It is set out in Decision No. [số Quyết định] dated [ngày ban hành] on public access to the campus open spaces and green spaces, issued by [the Rector of FPT University / FPT Education]. The policy applies to all FPT University campuses and remains in force in [2025].
2. What is open to the public
The policy covers all outdoor campus grounds, including green lawns, gardens, tree-lined walkways, lakes and water features, courtyards, rest areas and outdoor sports spaces. The only areas not open to the public are building interiors (classrooms, laboratories, offices), student dormitories and technical or construction zones. These are restricted solely for the safety and privacy of students and staff.

3. Permanent and free of charge
- Open every day of the year: campus grounds are open to the public from 06:00 to 22:00, including weekends and public holidays.
- No entry fee: there is no charge for entering or using any outdoor open or green space.
- No registration required: individual visitors may enter freely. Only large, organised groups are asked to notify the campus in advance so that we can support their visit.
- Basic rules only: visitors are asked to keep the ground clean, protect trees and plants, and respect ongoing teaching activities.
4. Community use of our green spaces
Our campus grounds are used daily by local residents for walking, jogging, relaxing and taking photos, and by school students visiting to experience university life. Typical uses include:
- Daily recreation: residents of nearby neighbourhoods come in the early morning and late afternoon to walk, jog and exercise along the shaded paths and around the lakes.
- Families and children: families visit at weekends to picnic on the lawns and let children play in a safe, car-free environment.
- School students: high-school students visit the campus to explore the landscape and experience university life as part of career-orientation activities.
- Photography and creative work: the campus architecture and landscapes have become a popular, free location for wedding, graduation, fashion and short-film photography.
- Visitors and partners: domestic and international guests regularly walk around the grounds and take photos at the iconic sculptures and gardens.

5. Caring for the green spaces we share
FPT University believes that education extends beyond the classroom and should foster harmony between people and nature. Throughout 2025, the university continued to provide free and open access to the green spaces of all its campuses, using these shared landscapes to raise public environmental awareness and encourage sustainable living. FPT University campuses are therefore not only places of learning, but also shared public environments that embody the university’s commitment to sustainability, community engagement and holistic well-being.

FPT University continuously plants and maintains trees, lawns and gardens, and organises green-environment activities that bring students and the community together in the open spaces – for example, outdoor music and environmental campaigns that decorate the grounds with plants and encourage everyone to keep the campus green and clean.
