On November 14, the largest international association in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – ASOCIO, held an awards ceremony in South Korea, honoring 52 entities from 9 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region. Among them, two outstanding representatives from FPT Corporation were recognized: FPT Smart Cloud and the Online Education System VioEdu (FPT IS). FPT Smart Cloud, the only Vietnamese technology enterprise, received an award in the Excellent Technology Startup category; while the VioEdu Online Education System (FPT IS) was mentioned in the Digital Education category (EdTech Award).
Within the framework of the ASOCIO Digital Summit held in Seoul, South Korea, the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance (ASOCIO) organized the ASOCIO 2023 Awards ceremony. This prestigious information technology award attracted thousands of outstanding organizations, individuals, and businesses from 24 economies in Asia and the Pacific region. The event drew nearly 600 delegates, government leaders, and IT industry executives from around the world.
Annually, the ASOCIO Awards assess over 10,000 submissions to select 52 entities from 9 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region that effectively apply technology across various aspects of life, contributing to the formation of a digital transformation ecosystem.
In 2023, FPT Smart Cloud, the sole technology company from Vietnam, received an award in the “Excellent Technology Startup” category alongside leading technology firms from member countries such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, and more. FPT Smart Cloud was highly evaluated by the judging panel for its innovative and breakthrough technology products and services, impressive achievements, and value creation for users and society. FPT Smart Cloud has developed an ecosystem comprising over 80 innovative AI, Cloud, and Data solutions, ranging from infrastructure to internationally standardized applications. Previously, FPT Smart Cloud has received numerous awards, being the only Asian company honored by the Stevie Awards in the category of Best Innovative Technology Company. The company also secured a Gold Award at The International Business Awards (IBAs) in the Cloud Platform category, and another Gold Award in the “Make in Vietnam” category for Outstanding Digital Product for the Digital Economy.
ASOCIO, established in 1984 in Tokyo, Japan, is currently the most active international trade organization in the Asia-Pacific region with 24 member associations representing over 10,000 multinational businesses. The ASOCIO Award is a prestigious information technology award initiated by ASOCIO in 2003. The judging panel comprises 15 members, reputable IT experts from countries in the region, with Mr. Brian Shen, President of the Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance, serving as the chairman.
In the past, in 2013, Professor Dr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, was honored by ASOCIO. The organization also recognized FPT Information System Company in 2017 and FPT University in 2018. In 2022, ASOCIO presented awards to Base Enterprise Company and FPT Polytechnic College.
